We also celebrate special days throughout the year, such as Easter, Christmas, Melbourne Cup, Anzac Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and birthdays!
Alwyndor Vintage Voices
If you love to sing, warm up your voice and come and join our choir, the ‘Alwyndor Vintage Voices’. This group is made up of residents, family members and volunteers who get together and practice until their hearts are content once a fortnight. If singing isn’t for you, come and show your support for them when they perform at some of the music concerts held throughout the year.
Tots at Dots
Tots at Dots is an inter-generational playgroup that brings together children, their parents, and our residents for an exceptional experience. The playgroup offers our residents a form of community engagement and helps to reduce feelings of social exclusion and isolation while in residential living.
The group connects 3 to 4 generations together for a uniquely beneficial experience for those involved. Children under five are going through a stage of rapid brain and skill development. For optimum development, young children need a stimulating environment to play and learn. Playgroup offer babies, toddlers, and young children a wide variety of early learning experiences.
Social Connections and Relationships
Coming in to residential care does not mean you need to lose your social connections and relationships with those around you.
At Alwyndor we understand the importance of social interaction and spending time with family and friends. To ensure you feel at home and are able to have this special time, you can book a lounge or dining area for your private functions, or you can take in Alwyndor’s breathtaking gardens and book the outdoor entertainment area for barbeques and social activities.
Family members are welcome to join in with activities and attend any of the exciting larger functions we hold for those special occasions throughout the year.
