''If it wasn’t for Alwyndor I wouldn’t be where I am today"
After falling in 2017 Margie needed transitional care to learn to walk again. The therapy and support she received from Alwyndor meant she could remain in her own home, “It was the most important thing for me to keep my independence.” Margie continues to enjoy classes three times a week, including Weights, Balance, Chi Ball, and a massage.

Christine and Fred Bell have been clients of Alwyndor’s Day Respite service since the program began in 2020 – and it has changed their lives.
Fred, who suffered a stroke in 2012, attends three days a week and “really enjoys it”.
For Christine, who’s been her husband’s full-time carer since 2017, the service has been a “godsend”.
“It’s been marvelous,” she said.

Mifanwy (Mif) has called Alwyndor home for 8 years. “I chose Alwyndor as I had received such wonderful in-home support from lovely staff and when I popped past, it always felt like a welcoming place.” Being a local for many years, it is easy for family to visit. Mif has seen a lot of change over the years and has such high praise for management and staff in particular during the last few years. “They deserve a medal.” Mif appreciates that she can play an active role in her home and be an advocate for her residential community. “I feel engaged and listened to and free to give suggestions and feedback”
